Natural lighting


natural light in photography refers to the process of taking photographs using available light from the sun or moon as the main light source.
PROS AND CONS - PROS - it is free meaning that everyone can use it and also it offers you a big variety of change with the lighting due to the type of day.
CONS - it is up to the weather if you can get a good shot with natural lighting for example if its cloudy it is really hard to use natural lighting.


 

 in this photo natural lighting is shown with the sunset this is because of the contrast between the clouds and the sun as this photo was taken with an extreme long shot this is because of the contrast between the darkness of the clouds and the brightness of the sun this makes the photo a lot more entertaining for the audience and overall makes it a lot more visually pleasing to look at and its all done with natural lighting also, as the sun is the brightest object on the photo it makes it the main focal point of the image be of the sun and in the rule of thirds it means that all of the focus is on the middle/second row of the photo.


 this is my second photo of the use of natural lighting and as you can see from the extreme long shot i took a photo of the sun with the water in it as well as you can see with the reflection of the sun you can see it in the water making a effect on the photo and also as you can see from the sun the is a lightening bult which could create an enigma code to the audience to why there is one there. This was all done with natural lighting and there was no effects with the use of digital manipulation used.
 this is my final photo of taking a photo with the use of natural lighting and as you can see there are some effects used in this photo for example with the use of shadows this was done with the use of lighting from the sun. Also as the photo was took as a long shot this sun makes the photo have some sort of silhouette with the photo also with this photo it could show to the audience pathetic fallacy as the bright colours and the sun could symbolise many things but mostly it symbolises happiness

3 images that have been digitally manipulated changing what an image looks like and it allows photographers to modify and improve photographs in they way how they want to. PROS and CONS - PROS - you can change what an image looks like and it will improve the photo. 5 camera angles

5 Camera angles  CANTED ANGLE is used to cause a sense of unease, disorientated for the viewer. I made sure that the picture was took in an angle this is to connote that the audience would feel unease/confused it also makes the audience not sure what's going to happen next.  PROS / CONS -  PROS - it makes the audience feel disoriented and unease when using this shot. CONS - could make the audience be put of by this angle when used. LOW ANGLE used to make an object look a lot taller, wider and bigger making it dominant to the audience. As you can see I made sure that the picture was in the low angle and as you can see, I look a lot bigger and dominant than usual, it also makes the audience believe that whoever is presented in this angle has a lot of power/dominance.  PROS/CONS - PROS- it makes the audience know about the person/objects power/dominance.  CONS - can make it look like the person/object is vulnerable or lonely and can also show distort in the face.
